Molly A. Easley, M.A.Ed.

My Story

From a childhood dream of teaching to a diverse career in education, my journey has been one of passion and purpose. I worked as an English as a Second Language student aide and private tutor as an undergraduate, and taught Western Civilization at the University of Kansas while pursuing my master's degree in Education. Later, I provided academic accommodations for college students with special needs before serving as a high school special education para and then transitioning to K-12 substitute teaching, where I covered subjects ranging from science to Spanish.

My professional public school teaching career began with two years of teaching high school English Language Arts, Speech & Theatre at a large multi-cultural urban high school, followed by a year of teaching middle school ELA. Seeking to make a broader impact, I moved back into private tutoring, completing my TESOL certificate before spending a year and a half living abroad in Mexico, where I tutored English, history, and standardized test prep online to students in the U.S. and Canada.

After returning to the United States and attaining my ESOL teaching license, I gained valuable experience as secondary ESOL teacher one year, further deepening my expertise in supporting students from diverse linguistic backgrounds. When I re-entered the world of online teaching, I found a long line of tutoring placement services ready to exploit my experience and credentials for low wages while charging parents outlandish hourly rates. I know that students and families deserve better: they deserve personalized attention to their academic, professional, and personal needs. This is how Tutoring & Test Prep with Molly A. Easley, M.A.Ed. was born.

Now, with a wealth of experience and a commitment to educational equity, I continue to build connections with students one-on-one and champion education as a pathway to empowerment and opportunity.
